An Eye Check-Up camp was organised at Chkur Village which comes within the Narayanpur Sub Centre area on the 11 March 2014 by the Ecumenical Sangam under the Lion’s Club Germany Programme by Doctors from the Lions Club, Oshotaj, Nagpur. This was run by Dr. Bobade and Dr. Waghamare and their staff from Nagpur.

The total Number of patients attending this Camp was 45 with 21 patients being prescribed spectacles. Almost all the patients booked spectacles with the Doctors as the spectacles were being made available at a 40% discount to the patients.
10 patients were recorded with headaches, 5 patients were provided eye drops by the Doctor and 9 patients were referred to the local Government hospital for cataract removal operations.

All patients were provided with breakfast and were collected and returned to their villages by the Sangam’s transport.
All Doctors and their team members were provided with a meal plus tea and biscuits.
The Programme was arranged by Mrs. Shobha Nahare, Trained Birth Attendant and Mr. Pravin Urkude from the Narayanpur Sub Centre with the support of the Village Health & Social Workers.
